New Zealand National Brands Summit Forum was successfully held for 5th CIIE

On November 6, a special event celebrating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between China and New Zealand - the New Zealand National Brands Summit Forum 2022 was successfully held as an essential supporting event of the fifth China International Import Expo.



The forum was initiated by New Zealand Business Roundtable in China (NZBRiC) and NEXT Federation during the 5th CIIE and cooperated with CCCFNA and other strategic cooperation Partners. It gathered heavyweight guest speakers from both New Zealand and China for the speech, released the achievement report of "2022 Meet New Zealand National Brands", signed the cooperation framework agreement, and announced the second batch of members in the New Zealand National Brands.



Jiang Zengwei, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Commerce of China; Clare P. Fearnley, New Zealand Ambassador to China; Cao Derong, President of CCCFNA; Stephen Wong, Consul General; Miao Wenbin, Deputy Mayor of Taizhou Municipal Government, Zhejiang Province; and Elizabeth Reid, Chair of NZBRiC. They expressed wishes and expectations for the 50th anniversary of New Zealand - China diplomatic relations at the speech session with related topics.



In the keynote speech themed "50 Years of Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability", Clare P. Fearnley, New Zealand Ambassador to China, and Michael Jiang, Executive President of Greater China of Zespri International, delivered brilliant speeches with other guest representatives.




As the first batch of members, Fonterra, Zespri, Silver Fern Farms, and Queenstown were selected for the "New Zealand National Brands" in 2020. NZBRiC, with the first batch of members, and NEXT Federation jointly announced and presented trophies, including certificates, to the second batch of members, The Warehouse, Rockit Apple, Ewaters, and Babich.



The "New Zealand National Brands" is sponsored by the NEXT Federation and co-sponsored by New Zealand Business Roundtable in China(NZBRiC), Launched in 2020. It aims to promote New Zealand's national brands on the global stage and integrate and share global partner resources.



In the Forum, Chen Bin, the Member of the Standing Committee of Yuhuan Municipal Committee of Zhejiang Province, and Elizabeth Reid, Chair of NZBRiC, signed a cooperation framework agreement to carry out in-depth cooperation in the trade, investment, culture, and other fields.
