Yesterday, the New Zealand Business Roundtable in China (NZBRiC)'s Industry and Ex Officio members were delighted to host the New Zealand China Council on their first visit to China since 2019 for a roundtable briefing at The Warehouse Group's office in Shanghai.
The delegation is led by New Zealand China Council Chair John McKinnon, and includes New Zealand China Council members from tertiary education, media, airport, trade, primary produce, entrepreneurship, banking, and the Council’s ‘Next Generation’ leadership development programme.
During the roundtable briefing, NZBRiC Industry Members shared perspectives on New Zealand business operations in China, market trends and the short to long-term business outlook for the China market. The briefing was followed by a networking lunch and lively discussions.
We'd like to thank New Zealand China Council Executive Director Alistair Crozier for inviting NZBRiC to be a part of the Council's busy agenda and NZBRiC's Chair Mark Anderton for his manaaki in hosting the event at The Warehouse Group's offices.
With borders now open, it is fantastic to see an increase of New Zealand businesses and organisations coming up to market to re-establish relationships and gain an understanding of the China business environment. If you are a New Zealand business coming up to China, do reach out to us to connect.
